Successful Dating - with potential for more
So much I would love to say but I don't want to spoil what's to come in future posts. The following is a quick briefing of my take regarding this subject.
I'm human, I have made mistakes, I have rushed through life to get exactly what I wanted not taking my time to enjoy the journey. I have always been a heck of a great student, and so through my past dating life and recent shitty "marriage" I have learned that an excellent relationship will always commence with a beautiful concrete-solid foundation of friendship.
A true friendship with the opposite sex involves respect, patience, understanding, kindness, care, and acceptance. without one of these, the others suffer therefore making a potential romantic relationship decrease in value and success.
When someone you've known for nearly a year knows you better than the person you had children with and shared your life with for five years -- now that is a real friendship and true potential might be found there, but take your time.
Why is divorce rate so high? why do relationships fail? why can't you find THE one? here's my take: Most men are plain and lazy, they do not take the time to appreciate a woman nor do they bother trying to impress her, and most women are in a rush to get the ball rolling while at the same time keeping their options open for the next best thing. Basically everyone is all over the map! And most are all willing to be there for the better but when the worst arrives they run.
We live in a world that has lost sight and understanding of what true love is. True love has patience and acceptance, when we accept that we are imperfect and yet have love for ourselves it is than that we can whole heartily love others with their flaws and imperfections. Love requires patience not only for what's good to come but also for the storms to pass.
If you come across someone who not only sends you flowers and buys you gifts, but also opens your door, pulls out your chair, helps you with your coat, carries your purse, shows you how much he appreciates you at every given chance, has respect for you, your boundaries and you as a whole, now that is someone deserving of your attention.
When dating take your time to know the person, to learn about them and their life. This will help you appreciate the person in depth. We live in such a fast pace shallow world that we might potentially miss out on THE one or at the very least some amazing experiences, all because we judge by covers.
I want to be straight forward and provide you with three key steps for you to have some successful dating experiences;
1. Be whole:
Learn to be on your own, love yourself, spend time alone and learn about yourself.
2. Be open minded:
Take a chance and give a chance, first dates are awkward consider a second and third. Try something new, get out of your comfort zone. Sure you might have a "type", but lets be honest how has that worked for you this far? don't you think maybe its time to try a new flavor other than plain vanilla or perhaps you've had too much rocky road and need to have more vanilla or maybe none of the above and instead try some sorbet or give all that up and go with natural frozen lactose free yogurt?
3. Be patient:
When you find someone you like, don't rush things, take your time. Respect them, but mostly respect yourself. Refrain from having sex too soon. This will help you get to know them and establish a real connection.
Happy Dating to You!
