Just Keep Swimming

It's finally here my big 3-O. I have been looking forward to this day for quite some time, I just always had a feeling it would be a great day. But as we know the day makes no actual difference. Its really the thoughts of the day.

My life has never been better. I am happier, richer, healthier, and oh my goodness beautiful both inside and out. I don't think its the age that has made life so much better, but rather the maturity and the life experience that come with age. I can't wait to be 40! I just feel really amazing and loving my life more than ever.

The down fall of it all is that aside from my father my family is not here. And I realise that its now been 22 years since I was separated from them. And 12 years since I last saw my mother.

I have been through a lot of unfortunate situations in my short life, some that only I know of, and I am so thankful for each of them. They have all helped me grow stronger, smarter, and wiser. Most of all, it has all made me appreciate life and be happier. Yes that's right happier!

In life you either swim or drown. I choose to keep swimming.
I tell you this not to get an "oh poor Ana" no no no! I share this piece of information with you because we ALL have been through something. You might be travelling through a dark place this very moment for all I know. KEEP ON going my friend, don't stop, not even for a break! If you can't run through it, skip. If you can't skip, hop. If you cant hop, walk. If you can't walk, pull your body with your arms. If you can't pull your body with your arms, common' you get the point.

Who knew that being alone in a "foreign" country as single mother of two would actually be such an extremely overall happy time for me. Don't get me wrong it's been quite challenging, still is. But what I love is that I KNOW that everything happens for a reason, and that after each storm there is a rainbow. My rainbow is already here, I live it daily, but I still see it growing in size and colour, colours I had no idea existed. So, darling never give up.

Life is grand and its yours for the taking.
